THE PROCESS
STAGE 1 RESEARCH & NOMINATION
We initiate a month-long campaign focused on research and nominations to gather entries from diverse regions, sectors, and backgrounds. Our goal is to highlight to recognise and celebrate exceptional leadership in various fields.
STAGE 2 EVALUATION & SHORTLISTING
The Sasol SuperLead research committee evaluates and scores all nominations. The top 5 highest-scoring entries in each category will be shortlisted for the judges’ review.
STAGE 3 JUDGES’ PANEL ASSESSMENT
A panel of senior executives, chosen for their expertise and industry knowledge, reviews the shortlisted nominations. They conduct a thorough analysis of each entry to determine the winner for each category. The scoring process is independently validated by the Chairman of the Judges, in collaboration with GIBS Business School and an Auditing Partner.
STAGE 4 GALA EVENT & WINNER ANNOUNCEMENT
Finalists gather at the Sasol SuperLead Gala Evening, where the winners are announced. This exclusive, invitation-only event will feature networking opportunities with professionals, entrepreneurs and leaders from different fields, along with a showcase of South African entertainment.

The following categories have been created to accommodate the best leaders in their respective fields, age braket, social impact and attitude towards those they lead, and the organisations they serve. Look at each category and ask yourself the qualitative questions to help you decide on a leader you would potentially nominate.
